1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide To Us
If you create an account, the data you provide would include your username, full name, email address, a password, company name, a medical / healthcare specialty.

Aside from the mandatory information required upon registration, you may choose to enter additional information about yourself or the company you are representing. Such information may consist of profile picture, job title, individual / company type, telephone number, address, number of employees, year of inception, description of self / company, distribution network(s), and association(s) / partner(s), wherever applicable. This non-mandatory information will enhance your accessibility to other users in MedBot. Information posted on your profile is based on personal preference. You are strongly advised not to post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to make available to the public.

Posting and Uploading
We collect data from what you provide, post or upload onto our platform, such as when you write a post/article, upload or edit a product, visit another user’s profile, upload verification documents, connect, follow or bookmark another user or his/her product(s).

You may submit documents such as a business registration certificate to verify your status as an established company in the medical device/healthcare industry. We will then integrate this information into some of our features (e.g. Company Search).

Requests for Quotation
When you raise a request for quotation, you may determine the type of users that can view the quotation request (e.g. supplier, distributor or healthcare provider), their specialties (e.g. dental, cardiac) or their countries. If none of the target audience options are selected, the request will be sent to all MedBot users.

Launching Product or Featuring Company/Product
When you launch a product or feature your company/product, you may determine the type of users that can view the launch or feature based on company type, specialties and/or countries. If none of the target audience options are selected, the feature will be viewable by all MedBot users.

1.2 Information From Others
Other users may post content in the form of articles, comments or videos that may include your information. For example, when they share your post or a post with your information. We retrieve public information that is medical / healthcare related, such as the suggestions of news articles from medical-related websites, and make it available as part of our service to better connect the industry. This news is hyperlinked, so that when the user clicks it brings them to the original source of news.

1.3 Features Used
We log your visits to MedBot and the usage of features on the platform. This may be in the form of Claiming Your Business, performing a search, viewing a product, or visiting other profiles. We use log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify and log your use.

1.4 Messages
If you communicate through the chat services on MedBot, we collect data based on your usage of the service. For instance, if you receive a message from another MedBot user, we will track whether or not you have seen that message and will send you reminders.

1.5 Analytics
We collect data based on what you view and click (eg. view other user’s profile/products). When a user has had their profile visited they will be able to identify the visitors to their profile.

1.6 Other
MedBot is constantly upgrading and new features may be introduced from time to time to improve user experience. New features may require additional information to be collected or substantially change the way we use your data. If this is the case, we will notify you and may also update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

2. How We Use Your Data
MedBot uses your data in accordance to the features that you use and how you use those features. The data that is acquired is used to enhance our services in terms of relevancy and personalisation for the improvement of the MedBot experience. For example, use of collected data to make suggestions for you such as recommending potential connections.

2.1 Features
Our features are designed for the purpose of connecting businesses/individuals in the medical devices and healthcare industries. We use your data acquired during the sign-up process to authenticate you and provide you with authorised access to our platform.

2.2 Communications
We will contact you through email, push notifications or MedBot chat messages, wherever applicable. Notices will be sent to you about the availability of our features, security, or other service-related issues, including how to use the features, network updates, reminders and promotional messages from us and our partners. Please be aware that you cannot opt out of receiving service messages from us, including security and legal notices.

2.3 AdvertisingInformation to Advertisers
Without your permission, we will not share your data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising purposes. Notwithstanding when you click on an ad, the ad source will know that you visited the page that you clicked on. Additionally, advertising partners may associate personal data collected by the advertiser directly from you, with our cookies or similar methods. For such incidences, we seek to contractually require such advertisers to obtain your absolute consent before doing so.

The data and content of users will be used for invitations and communications to stimulate the growth of the user base.

Developing features
We use data such as public feedback to conduct research and development for current/upcoming features in order to provide users like yourself with a more personalised and intuitive MedBot experience.

We use data, whenever necessary, to investigate and resolve complaints and service flaws.

We use data, whenever necessary, for the investigation of potential fraud or a violation of our User Agreement or Privacy Policy and/or attempts to harm our users/visitors.
